Sell Pianos Online
I Want To Sell My Piano
Sell pianos to Coach House and benefit from fair prices, expert valuation, unbiased advice and excellent part exchanges.
With more than thirty years of experience in the piano trade, we’re a trusted name and are relied upon by hundreds of satisfied musicians and collectors looking to buy or sell.
In order to provide an accurate and fair valuation when we buy used pianos, we require some basic details like the piano make & model, serial number, reason for selling piano and most importantly, some photographs. These allow us to assess the condition of the piano, which is important when valuing it.
If you currently own a piano, we offer excellent part exchange deals allowing you to upgrade your instrument as you progress in your piano playing journey, rather than sell your piano. Part exchanging saves you the hassle of advertising privately, ensures the funds required to purchase your new piano are kept to a minimum, and means you can replace your old instrument quickly and easily.
If you have a piano that you would like moved or removed, we offer a piano transportation service that is reliable, competitively priced, and available anywhere in the UK. We have the right tools and expertise to transport any kind of piano quickly and safely.
- Do you buy used pianos?
Yes! We buy used pianos and find them new homes, often restoring them to their former glory.
- How much is my piano worth?
In order to give you an accurate answer, we need you to submit details of your piano via our online form, including uploading or emailing photographs.
- I live far away, is that a problem?
Not at all, we have our own piano transportation team that collect and deliver pianos nationwide and internationally.
- How long will it take to get a valuation?
Our piano purchasing team meet once a week to go through submissions of pianos for sale. Following their meeting they respond to you via email whether we are interested in purchasing, or not.
- The form won’t let me upload JPEG photos, what do I do?
If the file sizes are too large, sometimes the form will not upload them. If this happens you can email the images to firstname.lastname@example.org instead.
- Do you buy all piano brands?
We have an interest in all pianos, though our preferred brands are Steinway, Bӧsendorfer, Blüthner, Kemble, Steingraeber & Sӧhne, Yamaha and Kawai. So when you sell your piano, whatever brand it is, Coach House is keen to buy it.
Piano Brands We Buy And Sell
We buy and sell upright pianos and grand pianos from popular brands: Steinway, Bösendorfer, Steingraeber & Sӧhne, Yamaha and Kawai. We also have interest in Bechstein, Schreiner & Sӧhne, Bentley, Blüthner, Kemble, Schimmel, Welmar and more.
Steinway & Sons
Steinway & Sons have been building handcrafted pianos of uncompromising quality since 1853. Some well-regarded musicians that endorse Steinway as official Steinway artists include Harry Connick Jr and Regina Spektor, as well as hundreds of others.
Viennese-built top-quality pianos, Bösendorfer are obsessed by crafting the ultimate piano sound experience. Alexis Ffrench can be spotted playing a Bösendorfer 280VC in the 2019 SKODA advert.
Steingraeber & Sӧhne
Steingraeber & Sӧhne was established in 1820 by Eduard Steingraeber in Germany. Today it is run by sixth generation family member Uno Schmidt-Steingraeber in Bayreuth, Germany, and continues to go from strength to strength.
Founded in Japan in 1887, Yamaha has become a name synonymous with quality and style. Some performers that endorse Yamaha as official artists for the brand include Jamie Cullum, Ingrid Micahelson and Jason Mraz.
Founded in 1927 in Japan, Kawai began life as a musical instrument research lab, growing over the years into what it is today, a contemporary of Yamaha. Coldplay chose to use Kawai through their 2016-2017 tour.
