New Yamaha C3X Transacoustic Grand Piano
The third in Yamaha’s popular CX series, the C3X is likely to be found in living rooms, classrooms, churches and concert venues.
At 6-foot this high-performance grand piano is ‘industry standard’ and is popular among musicians due to its rich and expressive tone.
With an Alaskan Spruce soundboard and bespoke C series hammers, as well as a soft closing keyboard fall and a range of finishes to choose from, this is a good choice for keen pianists.
This model is also available with the latest transacoustic technology, activated by pressing down and locking the middle pedal.
This pedal moves a rail between the hammers and the strings, switching off the acoustic piano and turning on the transacoustic.
By engaging the middle pedal, a digital sample of the Yamaha CFX and Bӧsendorfer Imperial concert grand is transmitted via specially configured transducers, sending vibrations through the soundboard and bridges to reproduce the digital sound.
This digital sound can be listened to out loud or through headphones and you can adjust the volume and layer sounds on top of the acoustic piano to replicate a full orchestra.
