The SH2 silencing system has now been replaced by the SH3 silencing system.

So, what’s the difference between the SH2 and SH3 systems?
While the SH2 used laser beam technology, SH3 now uses magnetic resistance, making the piano more responsive and more accurate to the touch.
The new SH3 system is available on the following piano models:
Upright
U series, P series, YUS series, SE series, SU7
Grand
GC series, CX series, SX series
