Keep your piano keys clean, fresh and hygienic with our specially formulated Piano Key Wipes.
A piano keyboard is one of the most frequently touched parts of any piano, especially in homes, schools, studios, churches, showrooms and other shared spaces. These individually wrapped wipes are designed to help clean and sanitise modern piano keys quickly and conveniently, giving you added peace of mind without the hassle of mixing cleaning solutions or using unsuitable household products.
Each wipe contains over 70% alcohol and has been developed specifically for use on modern piano key tops. Alcohol-based cleaning is widely recognised as an effective way to sanitise hard surfaces, and most modern piano key tops are generally resistant to alcohol when used correctly and dried immediately after cleaning.
Our Piano Key Wipes are ideal for anyone looking for a simple, practical way to maintain better keyboard hygiene while helping to protect the condition and playability of their instrument.
One wipe is suitable for cleaning a full piano keyboard. Each wipe is individually sealed to help preserve its effectiveness and ensure it is ready to use when needed.
Directions for Use
Remove the wipe from the packet, unfold it and gently wipe a few keys at a time, working from one end of the keyboard to the other.
After wiping, immediately dry the keys with a clean, dry towel or cloth. Do not allow liquid or residue to remain on the keys. Once cleaned and dried, leave the keyboard for approximately five minutes before playing.
Please read the full usage guidance below before purchase and use.
Important Usage Guidance
These wipes contain over 70% alcohol. If alcohol or moisture is left on piano keys for a prolonged period, it may cause damage. For this reason, the wipes should be used carefully and should not be used excessively or as part of a very frequent cleaning routine.
Always clean a few keys at a time and dry them immediately with a clean towel. Moisture left on the keys can cause swelling, loosen key tops or damage surrounding materials.
Avoid contact with the piano cabinet, casework or finish. While many modern polyester or polyurethane piano finishes are hard-wearing, alcohol and cleaning agents may damage certain finishes. Lacquer, satin, French polished, shellac and open-grain wood finishes can be particularly sensitive.
Do Not Use On
Ivory key tops
Shellac or French polished wood surfaces
Open-grain wood surfaces of any kind
Piano cabinets, casework or decorative finishes
Any surface where you are unsure of the material or finish
General Recommendations
Use alcohol-based cleaning products only where suitable for the surface being cleaned. Do not use bleach-based products or products containing citrus on piano keys.
Always dispose of used wipes immediately after use. Do not reuse wipes. Wash your hands after cleaning.
Never leave liquid sitting on the piano keys or allow cleaning product to run between the keys.
