Used Steinway & Sons Model A Grand Piano
It is a privilege to cast your eyes on this magnificent instrument, even if you only have the rare opportunity to view it once.
Handcrafted in the most beautiful hue of satin rosewood with regency inlay, this lovingly restored Steinway & Sons Artcase period piano is simply stunning in every aspect.
With many unique features including its fretted music desk, carved legs and engravings, this instrument makes a jaw-dropping statement wherever it is situated.
If you haven’t been overwhelmed by its appearance, you only have to hear an opening bar of music played on this piano to be won over by its rich, warm and delicate tonal characteristics.
It doesn’t take long to realise how special this piano really is. It has a damper leaver which you operate internally to muffle the tone – this more muted style of playing was largely desired in the early 20th century and its absolutely fascinating to play a short piece with this in action.
The restoration of this piano has been carried out with fully authentic and genuine Steinway Hamburg certified parts and all documentation is available upon request.
