The Yamaha B20 upright piano builds upon the success of the B Series with a larger cabinet, richer tonal character and enhanced musical presence. Standing at 116cm tall, the Yamaha B20 offers greater depth and projection than smaller upright pianos while retaining the refined touch and reliability that Yamaha is known for worldwide.

The increased cabinet height and longer bass strings help the Yamaha B20 produce a fuller, more expansive sound with improved pitch stability and stronger bass resonance. Yamaha’s redesigned soundboard uses a solid spruce core to deliver warmth, clarity and durability, while five robust back posts help maintain the ideal crown shape for long-term tonal consistency.

Designed for practical everyday use, the Yamaha B20 features a wide full-length music desk capable of supporting larger scores and study books securely. A built-in soft-close fallboard mechanism helps protect hands and creates a clean, elegant cabinet appearance.

Every Yamaha B20 model is available with optional SILENT Piano SC3 or TransAcoustic TC3 technology. The SILENT Piano system allows private headphone practice at any time of day, while the TransAcoustic version enables the piano to produce digital sound through its own soundboard with adjustable volume control.

Manufactured using Yamaha’s highly controlled production processes, the B20 benefits from carefully seasoned wood, precision-made action components and a Yamaha-built iron frame engineered for strength and tuning stability.
