Yamaha YU1 Upright Piano – c1999

This Yamaha YU1 upright piano was built in Japan in 1998 and is a high quality professional upright from Yamaha’s respected YU Series.

The YU models sit above the standard U Series and are known for their higher level of refinement in both construction and tonal character. This example remains in original condition throughout and has clearly seen very little use.

The piano has been carefully prepared in our workshops to ensure it performs to a high musical and mechanical standard.

Acoustically, the piano offers a lovely mellow tone with warmth and clarity across the registers. The touch is balanced and responsive, making it an enjoyable instrument to play across a wide range of repertoire.

The piano is fitted with Yamaha’s discreet soft close fall system, helping protect both the instrument and player while maintaining the clean lines of the cabinet design.
