Discovering the World of the Piano, an event hosted by Gary Branch, piano specialist

Did you ever wonder why every piano has its unique quality of sound, creating an individual character for each piano? Have you noticed that two pianos from the same model and make sound and play so differently?

Discovering the World of the Piano takes you through the fascinating history and development of the piano  and how it has become the magnificent musical instrument that it is today. The presentation will also give some insights in the history and specificities of some of the finest handcrafted piano makers in the world today. Discovering the World of the Piano will help you understand why we fall in love with an individual piano more than a piano or make.

The event is hosted by Gary Branch, Piano historian specialist and resident pianist at Coach House Pianos. It includes narration, music and opportunities to play yourself and discover in more depth the magical world of pianos.
