Schulze Pollmann Pianos are a family enterprise that embodies pride and passion in piano building as set on by its original German founders Albert Schulze and Paul Pollmann in 1928. German piano builder Paul Pollmann worked extensively for famous piano makers Ibach and Steinway & Sons in Germany before moving to Northern Italy to join anotherreputed German specialist piano builder, Albert Schulze in creating the commencement of Schulze Pollmann piano manufacture, incorporating German reliability and Italian flair. The new factory was set up in Italy’s Val Di Fiemme region which is famed for its wood, also used by Antonio Stradivari in the making of his world famous violins. Paul Pollmann managed the Schulze Pollmann factory until 1942, whereupon he was superseded by his son Hans who remained director until 1970. Over many decades, Schulze Pollmann pianos have earned an excellent reputation for fine quality built instruments that are reliable and durable with sweet yet powerful sound; all being typical features of great German tradition. In respect of these principles, Schulze Pollmann has fulfilled, through the decades, to introduce the elegancy and creativity of its Italian character, skilfully combining tradition, aesthetics, technology and innovation.
