Yamaha C2X Espressivo Grand Piano

The Yamaha C2X Espressivo represents the next evolution of Yamaha’s acclaimed CX Series. Drawing directly from the flagship CFX concert grand, it offers greater tonal colour, expressive control, and musical refinement than the standard C2X. At 173 cm (5’8″) in length, it balances concert-inspired performance with proportions that suit homes, teaching studios, and intimate performance spaces.

Yamaha developed the C2X Espressivo for pianists who demand greater musical expression. A European spruce soundboard, developed from the CFX concert grand, produces a richer, deeper, and more three-dimensional tone. Newly developed hammer felt expands the tonal palette and increases dynamic range. A redesigned inner rim also improves projection while sharpening tonal focus across the keyboard.

Yamaha refined the keyboard action to reduce friction and improve responsiveness. As a result, the piano feels lighter, more connected, and easier to control. Players can shape phrases with greater precision while maintaining confidence across the full dynamic range.

Every C2X Espressivo also receives more than twice the voicing time of a standard CX Series piano. This extended process allows Yamaha’s craftsmen to realise the instrument’s full musical potential before it leaves the factory.
